Christian Money

What Is Biblical Stewardship?

Biblical stewardship is the idea that resources, abilities, time, and responsibilities should be managed faithfully rather than treated as possessions with no larger purpose.

Money is one part of stewardship

Financial stewardship can include planning, meeting obligations, caring for dependents, giving, avoiding exploitation, and using resources in line with Christian values.

Stewardship is not a prosperity formula

Responsible management does not guarantee wealth. The concept concerns faithfulness and responsibility, not a promised financial outcome.

A practical question

Instead of asking only “How do I get more?”, stewardship asks “How should I use what is currently entrusted to me?”
